Profile: luminaire + conventional ballast
It withstands the greatest stress, is well suited for use near the equator (high temperature) and due to its simplicity can be maintained by a large range of customers. However, a disadvantage are the restrictions with regard to controllability (the rule is two switching stages, 65% and 100%) and the insufficient system efficiency of about 80% which has poor future prospects due to the appropriate EU regulations. It hardly makes sense to include luminaires equipped in this way into a light management system as the investment will hardly be able to amortise through operation. If the use of a light management system is considered nevertheless, then only because the reliability of the complete lighting system has priority and most fault-free operation is desired.
